Westborough – Ruth E. (Seymour) Marshall, 75, of Westborough, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at the UMass/Memorial Healthcare-University Hospital. She was the wife of Merton R. Marshall.
Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Opal (Hudson) Seymour and was educated in Marlborough schools.
Ruth was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed playing cribbage, reading and doing puzzles.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by nine children, Lynne Kavanagh of Charleston, S.C., Dennis Poskitt of Stoughton, Diane Poskitt of Stoughton, Stephen Marshall of Mendon, Darlene Owad of Bensalem, Penn., Denise Kellicker of Barre, Julie Zakas of Michigan, Lorri Campelo of Boston, and Darryl Marshall of Mechanicsburg, Penn.; two brothers, Richard Seymour of Marlborough and Robert Seymour of Delray Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Beverly Hutch of Marlborough and Helen Fkannery of Raleigh, N.C.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late David Poskitt and sister of the late Francis Seymour and Karen Funk.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, Dec. 17, from 4-8 p.m., at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St. Services and interment will be private.
