Northborough – Dorothy R. (Sokolski) Williams passed away at home due to heart complications Monday, Dec. 15, 2014. She was 79.
Dorothy leaves her husband of 54 years, Robert A. Williams; her children, Robert A. Williams Jr. of Northborough, Carolyn Balsamo of Saco, Maine, Patricia Boisvert of Grafton, Christine Itkowsky of Northborough, Kathleen Brouillard of Northborough, and Thomas Williams of Brewster, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and Donald Sokolski.
Born and raised in Cambridge, daughter of Thomas and Cecelia (Slavin) Sokolski; she lived in Northborough since 1970.
Dorothy was a generous and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of St. Bernadette Church. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed antiques and classical music.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, Dec. 21, from 2-5 p.m., in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. Her funeral Mass of Resurrection will take place Monday, Dec. 22, at 10 a.m., in St. Bernadette Church, 266 Main St., Northborough. Burial will follow in Howard Street Cemetery.
