Shrewsbury – Wayne L. Murray, of Shrewsbury, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 in Rose Monahan Hospice Residence in Worcester. He was 60.
Born Sept. 23, 1954 in Somerville, he was a son of Donald L. and Inger (Ljunngren) Murray and a longtime Shrewsbury resident. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School with the class of 1972 and earned his bachelor degree from Worcester State College.
Wayne worked as a supervisor for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority for over 26 years, retiring last year due to illness.
An avid golfer he belonged to Holden Hills Country Club and had a love for animals.
In addition to his parents, Donald and Inger Murray of Shrewsbury, he leaves his sisters, Mona Kempka of Foxboro and Alexandra (Murray) Sokolowski of Shrewsbury.
Funeral services and burial in Mountain View Cemetery were private.
