Marlborough – Claire T. (Andreola) Trotta, 96, of Marlborough, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014 at The Reservoir Center of Marlborough.

Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Amalia (Crescanzio) Andreola and the wife of the late John Trotta Sr., who died in 1968.

Mrs. Trotta worked at the former Frye Boot Factory in Marlborough for 20 years until her retirement in 1987. A loving, caring mother, she devoted her life to her family and her faith. She was a member of the former St. Ann’s Parish, Marlborough.

She is survived by her sons, Alfred Trotta and his wife Laurie of Sturbridge and John Trotta Jr. and his wife Cecile of Marlborough; her daughter, Carol Farese and her husband Vincent of Marlborough; her grandchildren, James Farese and his wife Ashlie, Christina and Lisa Farese, John III and Danielle Trotta, Jennifer Wilson and her husband Tom, Kimberley Cantwell and her husband Michael, and Gregory Michon; and three great-grandchildren, Olivia and Nicholas Wilson and Brooke Cantwell. She was also the sister of the late Alfred, Theodore, and Anthony Andreola, Lee Zagame, and Eleanor Tenaglia.

Her family wishes to thank the staff of Marlborough Hospital and especially The Reservoir Center for the care and kindness extended to her during her recent illness.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, Dec. 29, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beach Street, Marlborough.
