Obit Christine ChiginskyNorthborough – Christine C. Chiginsky, 75, of Northborough, formerly of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, with the music of one of her favorite performers, Neil Diamond, playing. Her devoted sister, Irene; her son, Thomas; and her daughter-in-law, Kimberly were by her side.

Christine was born in Worcester, one of six children of Joseph and Mary (Naudzius) Chiginsky. She graduated from St. Stephen’s High School and the Saltus School. She then accepted a position with the FEDEX Corporation and worked many years in several locations, including Worcester and Phoenix before retiring and returning to Northborough, where she lived with her sister and caregiver.

Christine is survived by a son, Thomas G. Chiginsky and his wife Kimberly Holcombe of Jamestown, R.I.; her sister, Irene G. Sokolowski, with whom she lived; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Christine, a strong-willed individual, lived the simple life; family, friends, crafts and the New England sports teams were her passions. She loved to knit, crochet, paint, and read. She was a lifelong Patriots and Red Sox fan, and was not afraid to express her passionate opinions on their performance.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
