Region – SpencerBANK recently donated $1,000 to the Spencer chapter of Hearts for Heat, a nonprofit community-based charitable organization dedicated to providing heating assistance to qualified residents of Spencer. It also donated $500 to the Leicester chapter, which supports Leicester residents.
The donations will help Hearts for Heat offset heating costs for residents in need of assistance during the cold winter months. The organization also hosts a number of fundraising events each year, which are necessary for the program to continue.
“The Hearts for Heat program makes it possible for local residents to stay warm during these winter months,” said K. Michael Robbins, president and CEO of SpencerBANK. “We are pleased to support such a worthy organization that helps those in need.”
