Nomination papers available for Hudson Town Election

Hudson – Nomination papers are now available for interested candidates running for municipal offices in Hudson. The Annual Election will be held Monday, May 11.

The offices to be elected at the Annual Town Election for 2015 are as follows: selectman, two three-year terms; moderator, one one-year term; School Committee, three three-year terms;

School Committee (vac), one one-year term; trustees of benevolent funds, one three-year term;

Housing Authority (vac), one three-year term; Municipal Light Board, one three-year term; Park Commission, one three-year term; Board of Health, one three-year term; library trustee, one three-year term; Planning Board, two three-year terms; Cemetery Commission, one three-year term; Constable, one three-year term; Board of Assessors, one three-year term; Vocational Regional District, one four-year term; and one School Committee member.

Registered voters who are interested in running for office should visit the Town Clerk’s office, 78 Main St., to pick up nomination papers for Annual Town Election. All nomination papers must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office no later than Monday, March 23, at 5 p.m. In order to appear on the ballot, a candidate must obtain fifty registered voters signatures in the town.

At the Annual Town Election, polls are open from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Hudson Annual Town Meeting will be held Monday, May 4, at the Hudson High School Auditorium, 69 Brigham St. at 7:30 p.m. The deadline to register for the Annual Town Meeting/Election is Tuesday, April 14. The Town Clerk’s office will be open April 14,the last day to register to vote, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
