Hudson – Virginia M. (Rogers) Clouatre, 85, of Hudson, formerly of Marlborough, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015 at Marlborough Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Clouatre, who died in 1994.

Virginia was born and raised in Orange, daughter of the late Roland and Lillian (Merron) Rogers. She resided in Marlborough for 40 years before settling in Hudson, where she has spent the past 17 years.

She worked as a waitress for the Harrison Conference Service in Marlborough for many years until her retirement.

She was a member of the Hudson Senior Center and the Hudson Historical Society, and a former member of the Hudson Woman’s Club and the local Red Hat Society. She was a former Scout Leader for many years in Marlborough, and was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.

Virginia enjoyed traveling and taking frequent bus trips with friends. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her granddaughter and later her two great-grandsons. She looked forward to vacationing with family and friends whenever she could, and in her spare time she enjoyed reading. She was an avid NASCAR fan.

Virginia leaves her two daughters, Virginia Decker and her husband Craig of Florida and Patricia Clouatre of Hudson. She also leaves her loving granddaughter, Holly Senecal, and two great-grandsons, Jacob and Ronald Senecal, all of Bradford, Vt. She was the sister of the late Ralph, Henry, and Kenneth Rogers and Dorothy Clouatre.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Marlborough. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Virginia may be made to the Hudson Senior Center, 29 Church St., Hudson, MA 01749.
