Westborough – Police Chief Alan Gordon released this statement this morning:
On 1/13/15, at approximately 1:23 AM, the Westborough Police Department received a call for a break in progress at E.L. Harvey & Sons, 68 Hopkinton Rd.
The responding units were given a description of the vehicle involved as a 04 Toyota Corolla. The first arriving unit observed a vehicle matching this description attempting to leave the area with its lights off. Off. Brian Massey was able to catch up to the vehicle at 50 Hopkinton Rd. and with the assistance of Sgt. Glenn McLeod and Off. Richard Trainor was able to take the operator into custody. Inside the vehicle the officers located over $600 worth of copper tubing and copper wire.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Byron E. Ordonez-Govea, age 53, of 29 Hildreth St. Marlborough.
He was charged with B&E night time with intent to commit a felony, larceny in a building and receiving stolen property. He will be arraigned this morning in Westborough District Court.
