Algonquin violinist to perform with symphony

R ARHS violinist rsRegion – Fifteen-year old violinist Zoe Chang of Northborough will perform de Beriot’s “Scene de Ballet” with the Symphony Pro Music Saturday, Jan. 24, at 3:30 p.m. at Hudson High School, 69 Brigham St., and Sunday, Jan. 25, at 3:30 p.m. at Mill Pond Middle School, 6 Olde Hickory Path, Westborough. The concerts will also feature dance music as well as a short ballet “Les Patineurs” (The Skaters) performed by Franklin School for the Performing Arts.

Chang, a sophomore at Algonquin Regional High School, has studied piano and violin since age 5. She is a recipient of one of the grand prizes at the Anick 17th annual Young People’s Performing Arts Competition in Marlborough in 2014. She joined the Boston Youth Symphony in third grade and is now playing in their premier senior orchestra. For tickets, visit symphonypromusica.org, or purchase them at the door.
