Hudson – Rosalie J. (McAllister) Swanfeldt, 77, of Hudson, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015 at her residence. She leaves her beloved husband of 57 years, Norman A. Swanfeldt of Hudson.

Rosalie was born in Boston, daughter of the late Henry and Louise (Murphy) McAllister, and was also the loving daughter of the late John Ryan. She was raised in Somerville where she attended local schools, and was a 1955 graduate of Somerville High School.

Rosalie has resided in Hudson since 1966 and was employed as a waitress with Mary’s Catering of Hudson for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles in her spare time and loved to draw in her younger days. Most of all, she cherished the times she shared with her family, especially later with her grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her five children, John Swanfeldt and his girlfriend, Tiffany, both of Marlborough; Stephen Swanfeldt and his wife Laurie of Hudson; Wendy Mousette and her husband John of Barrington, N.H.; Richard Swanfeldt and his wife Kelly of Marlborough; and Sandy Swanfeldt of Hudson. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Ryan and his wife Grace of Norfolk, Va.; her three sisters, Ellen Ogren of Medford, Sylvia Pinkham and her husband Ed of Somerville, and Anne Gould and her husband Scott of Henniker, N.H.; her seven loving grandchildren, Eric, Jonathan, Thomas, Bradley, Kylie, Lydia, and Julia; her adoring great-grandson, Hunter; her brother-in-law, Joe Devincentis of Marshfield, husband of Rosalie’s late sister, Louise Devincentis; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her sister Louise, she was predeceased by her two brothers, Henry McAllister of Somerville and James Ryan if New Boston, N.H.

A funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m., in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Jan. 15, from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
