Hudson – Lorraine P. (Renaud) Chicoine-Laferriere, 83, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Chicoine in 1970.

Lorraine was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of Gaston and Lucy Renaud. She retired as a quality control inspector from Digital Equipment Corp.

Lorraine enjoyed dining out, playing cards and reading books. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in her spare time. She was an avid sports fan of the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots, and also enjoyed NASCAR racing. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her three daughters, Robin Richardson and husband David of Paxton, Paula Deitzel and husband Scott of Citrus Heights, Calif., and Karen Zaterka and her fiancé David Almeida of Holden. She is also survived by her two brothers, Maurice Renaud and wife Barbra of Marlborough and Albert Renaud and wife June of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Irene Souza and husband Herb of Hudson, Rose Braga of The Villages, Fla., and Helen Buxton of Auburn; four grandchildren, April and Randy Zaterka of Holden, Scott Deitzel and wife Daniele of Sacramento, Calif., and Shaun Deitzel of Citrus Heights, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren, Killian and Murphy Deitzel of Sacramento, Calif., along with many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Gaston Renaud and Louise Piazza.

A funeral service and celebration of life will be held Saturday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m., in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson (www.tighehamilton.com)). Burial services will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery of Hudson. Calling hours will be held Friday, Jan. 16, from 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
