Obit Paula BenoitMarlborough – Paula M. (Russell) Benoit, 67, formerly of Marlborough, died at home Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015. She was the wife of Allen R. Benoit for the last 44 years.

She was born, raised, and educated in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Chief of Police Floyd Russell and Florence A. (Monnette) Russell. She was a graduate of Marlborough High School, class of 1965.

Paula enjoyed sports and the beach, and adored her grandson. She was a kind, giving woman who always put others needs before her own.

She leaves a daughter, Lori A. Troy of Oxford and her boyfriend Chris Ford; two sisters, Marsha Erlandson of Northborough and Constance A. Tomaszewski of Florida; and a grandson, Joshua Troy, and his father, Matthew Troy, both of Oxford. She was predeceased by her two daughters, Cindy and Christine.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m., in Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson Street. Calling hours will be held Thursday, from 6-8 p.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist Paula’s family with funeral expenses.
