Shrewsbury – Mary B. (McNamara) Cambria, of Shrewsbury, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015 in UMass Medical Center in Worcester after an illness. She was 84.
She was born May 30, 1930 in Port Hood, Nova Scotia, Canada, a daughter of the late Michael and Florence (Livingston) McNamara. In November 1954, she married Frank Cambria in Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Newton. They lived in West Roxbury since 1956 before moving to Shrewsbury in 2000.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, Frank A. Cambria; her children, Margaret Fitzpatrick and her husband Robert of Brighton and Lorraine Busconi-Cambria and her spouse Celeste of Shrewsbury and the late Joan Beaton; her siblings, Harold McNamara of Canada, Arthur McNamara of Canton, Elizabeth Merrill of Florida, and Evelyn Henderson and Jean McCann, both of Canada; her grandchildren, James and Robert Fitzpatrick and Bella Busconi-Cambria; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mary’s life by gathering Friday, Jan. 23 in Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury, where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
