Region – Music students from elementary, middle and high schools in Westborough and Shrewsbury volunteered their time to perform for the residents of Shrewsbury Towers at their annual holiday party Dec. 13.

Music teachers Ann and Paul Tomashefsky brought vocalists and instrumentalists to entertain the residents with Christmas carols and other music following their holiday dinner.

“One of our good friends, Sue Landry, said they did not have performers … and I offered to have our students come and help out,” Ann explained. “It was a wonderful experience that the residents loved so much that they wanted us to come back next year!”

She added that the students truly enjoyed performing for them and they hope it will become an event.
