Marlborough – Camilla M. (Lombardo) Quatrale, 90, formerly of Fitchburg, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after a short illness. Camilla was born in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Antonia (Aquia) Lombardo.

She is now reunited with her husband of 57 years, Alfred E. Quatrale.

Camilla was a faithful member of St. Anthony Di Padua Church in Fitchburg since 1948. She was a graduate of Marlborough High, class of 1941, and after raising her family with encouragement and affection, worked as an office manager at Spruce Service and Appliance for many years.

Camilla had a strong spirit, a tender heart, and placed the needs and well-being of her family ahead of her own each day.

She leaves her children to whom she was devoted: two daughters, Mary Morrin of Paxton and Anne Cianci and her husband Angelo of Framingham; four sons, John Quatrale of Brighton, Paul Quatrale and his wife Donna of Fitchburg, Peter Quatrale and his wife Judy of Leominster, and Alan Quatrale and his wife Susan of Fitchburg; six grandchildren, Meredith Cormier and her husband James, Shane Hertel and his wife Jennifer, Corrie Ares and her partner Chris Giardina, Lauren Murray and her husband Anthony, Sara Quatrale, and Andrew Quatrale; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Cormier, Chelsea Cormier, and Wesley Giardina; and in-laws, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister, Sabina Palange of Marlborough. She was predeceased by her sisters, Antonia Gucciardi, Rose Shearer, and Santa Albertini, and her brothers, Samuel Lombardo and Salvatore Lombardo.

Her funeral will take place Friday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to the Mass.
