Berlin – Stephen P. Hamlin, 58, of Berlin and formerly of Southborough, died at his home Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, after suddenly being stricken ill. He was the husband of the Lee-Ann (MacArthur) Hamlin for the past 32 years.

Born in Ipswich, he was the son of the late John W. and Hazel (Soucy) Hamlin. Steve was a graduate of Framingham North High School, and attended Bentley College. He was also Navy veteran.

Steve worked as a service technician for Verizon for over 30 years, and most recently was a security guard for Cumberland Farms in Westborough.

He took pride in his family, his farm, and his garden, and he loved animals.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five children, Sarah Roies and her husband Jonathan of Somerset, Jessica Munson and her husband Cameron of Watertown, N.Y., Jeffrey Hamlin and his wife Mary of Fall River, and Daniel and Meghan Hamlin of Berlin; four sisters, Audrey Larssen of Berlin, Margaret Grant of N. Attleboro, Sandra Contorelli of Methuen, and Jacqueline Hamlin of Hudson; and three grandchildren, Hannah and Madelyn Roies and Carter Munson. He was predeceased by his brother, John, and his sister, Dorothy.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Feb. 5, from 5-7 p.m., at Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. (Route 30), Southborough. Funeral and burial will be private.
