Westborough – The Westborough Community Land Trust will host a maple syrup discovery event Saturday, Feb. 28, from 1:30-3 p.m. Ever wonder if you could make maple syrup in Westborough? Making syrup from the sugar maple tree in your own yard, evaluate a sugar maple tree, buy the necessary equipment for a few dollars at your local hardware store, tap the tree, collect sap, and boil it to make syrup. Reconnect with a sweet early spring New England tradition – samples will be given! Limited to 20 participants; pre-register to receive directions by emailing [email protected].
