Marlborough – Mayor Arthur Vigeant requested during the City Council’s Feb. 9 meeting that the council approve his recommendations of several residents for positions on various commissions and boards. These include the reappointment of Mark Gibbs as information technology department head and the reappointment of Cynthia Panagore-Griffin as assistant city solicitor for a term to expire three years from the date of approval.
Also recommended is the appointment of Robert Camacho as building commissioner for a term to expire three years from the date of appointment.
The mayor is also asking for approval for the reappointment of Greg Mitrakas and appointment of David Bouvier to the license board for terms to expire six years from the date of approval. Bouvier would replace longtime member James Riessle who resigned in December 2014. Dennis Cavanaugh and Renee Perdicaro are recommended for the Community Development Authority for terms to expire three years from the approval date. Cavanaugh would replace Stephen Leduc who resigned in November 2014 and Perdicaro would replace Lynn Faust whose term has expired. The final request is the appointment of Pat Gallier to the Council on Aging to fill the balance of Lynn Anderson’s term which is due to expire on May 2, 2017.
