Marlborough- Mayor Arthur Vigeant has asked the City Council to approve the appointment of David Manzello as principal assessor, replacing Bradford Dunn, and Paul Sliney as the tenant’s representative on the Community Development Authority (CDA) for a three-year term. Councilors voted at the Feb. 23 meeting to refer the recommendations to the Personnel Committee.
Robert Tunnera, chair of the Personnel Committee, has scheduled a meeting for March 2 to review these and other recommendations which were presented by Vigeant at the Feb. 9 meeting.
Also scheduled for review and approval are the reappointment of Mark Gibbs as IT department head and the reappointment of Cynthia Panagore-Griffin as assistant city solicitor for a term to expire three years from date of approval, Robert Camacho as building commissioner, and the reappointment of Greg Mitrakas and appointment of David Bouvier to the license board. Bouvier will replace James Riessle who resigned in December.
Two city residents proposed for the CDA for three-year terms are Dennis Cavanaugh, replacing Stephen Leduc, and Renee Perdicaro filling the seat held by Lynn Faust. They mayor is also asking for approval of Pat Gallier to the council on aging to fill the balance of the term of Lynn Anderson which is due to expire in May 2017. The Personnel Committee will review each candidate and report back to the full council with its recommendations at a future meeting.
