Westborough: Historical Society holds open house


Westborough – The town of Westborough will celebrate its 300th anniversary in 2017. It was founded when it split off from the bordering town of Marlborough. Westborough’s most famous native son, Eli Whitney Jr., a Yale University graduate, invented the cotton gin in 1795. Attend the Westborough Historical Society’s open house Sunday, March 1, 2-4 p.m., at the Sibley House to learn more about the town’s history on Westborough.


The event is free and open to the public. The Sibley House is located at 13 Parkman St.
