Jaffrey, N.H. – Joseph “Joe” Saint George, 87, died Sunday, March 8, 2015 after a long period of failing health. He was the husband of Joan (Otis) Saint George. He was also the husband of the late Dorothy “Dot” Saint George, who died on the same date 20 years earlier.

He was born in Newton, the son of the late Napoleon and Mary Louise (Morrell) Saint George, and lived in Marlborough and Worcester for many years before moving to New Hampshire.

Mr. Saint George worked as an electrical engineer for many different companies, including Raytheon, RCA, Radant Technologies, and Incoterm. He was a longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion in both Marlborough and New Hampshire. He was also a longtime member of the former Saint Mary’s Church, and served as a chaperone for the Saint Mary’s Fife and Drum Core and the Immaculate Conception Church Dukes and Duchesses.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Paul Saint George and his wife Cheryl of Clinton; one daughter, Donna Metivier and her husband Richard of Worcester; two stepsons, Bob Edick and his wife Mary of Dublin, N.H. and Michael Edick and his wife Suzette of Dublin, N.H.; one stepdaughter, Patricia Hartwell and her husband John of Dublin, N.H.; two grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Robert Saint George.

His funeral will be held Friday, March 13, at 11 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery of Marlborough. Visiting hours will be held Friday morning, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough.
