Marlborough/Grafton – Donald R. Skinner, 81, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Zenta (Zeipe) Skinner; his sons, Steven Skinner and his wife Janice and David Skinner and his wife Lynn; his grandchildren; Laura, Matthew, Christopher, and Kimberly Skinner; and several nieces and nephews.

Donald was born July 9, 1933 in Suffern, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the Destroyer U.S.S. Stephen Potter during the Korean conflict. Following his military service he worked at Sylvania/GTE in Needham for nearly 20 years.

His family would like to express their appreciation to Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the JHC Hospice Care team for their exceptional care for Donald.

All are invited to a funeral service Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m., followed by military honors at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., N. Grafton. Burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
