Grafton – Anna G. (Belanger) Carlson, 91, passed peacefully in her home Monday, March 16, 2015 in the love and care of her family. Her devoted husband of 63 years, Raymond E. Carlson Jr., passed in 2006.
Mrs. Carlson is survived by her two children, Joanne Lemay of Shrewsbury and Raymond R. Carlson of Grafton; one sister, Eleanor Kelley of Auburn; two grandchildren, Lisa Wahlgren and Raymond R. Carlson Jr.; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by another child, Elaine Carlson, in 1947.
Mrs. Carlson was born Feb. 17, 1924 in Worcester, the daughter of the late J.E. Leo Belanger and Alice (Couture). She was raised in Worcester and had lived in North Grafton for 59 years.
She was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing whist and bingo and square dancing with her husband, Ray.
All are invited to the celebration of her funeral Mass Friday, March 20, at 11 a.m., in her Parish Church of St. Mary, 17 Waterville St., North Grafton. She will then be laid to rest next to her husband in Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are in the care of The Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton.
