Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Education Foundation (SEF) will welcome spring with a peek at fresh fashions and accessories sported by “Shrewsbury’s most fashionable models” at its Trunk Show Soirée Saturday, April 11, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Sumner House, 5 Church Road.
Presented by Hair-Lines, the SEF Trunk Show Soirée will bring together local boutiques and a national retailer to present a mix of clothing and trends for men and women. The event is co-hosted by the Sumner House, The Treasure Chest, Heart & Stone Jewelry and Men’s Wearhouse. Struck catering is serving delicious treats and wine and craft beers will round out the event. SEF would like to especially thank Jim Heald for his hospitality.
“SEF is all about raising funds for teacher grants that bring innovation to the classroom, and the Trunk Show Soiree is a fun and creative event,” said Melanie Petrucci, SEF co-president. “We’re so excited to show off our co-hosts’ beautiful items as they’re modeled by our very own School Superintendent Dr. Joe Sawyer and Sherwood Middle School Principal Dr. Jane Lizotte as well as my colleagues on the SEF Board, Brenda Buckley and her daughter Lauren, (Shrewsbury High School alumni), SEF co-president Chris Juetten and her son Joe (Shrewsbury High School senior), Beth Mercer, Mark Adler and Jason Palitsch.”
Additional support is being provided by Runway Sponsors, Central One Federal Credit Union and several local patrons which include Beaton Kane Construction, Polito Development Corp., Petrucci Family, Fryc Family, Joe and Jordan Jeutten and Jim Coghlin Sr. Sponsorships are still available.
Founded in 1992, SEF works to stimulate, strengthen and support educator-driven innovation that enriches student learning at every grade level of Shrewsbury Public Schools. SEF awards annual grants to fund initiatives that enhance the classroom experience outside of the district’s budget.
