Obit Helen McHaleNorthborough – Helen C. (Bannon) McHale, 93, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 22, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, at Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester. Her husband of 58 years, Thomas W. McHale, died in 2009.

She leaves behind her two sons, Ret. Colonel USAF Robert S. McHale and wife Trudy of Holland Patent, N.Y. and Brian T. McHale and wife Geri of Medway; her daughter, Barbara E. Corley and husband Richard of Bolton; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, John Moffitt of Northborough; and three nieces. She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Moffitt.

Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Grant) Bannon. She lived in W. Roxbury for 37 years before moving to Northborough in 2006.

Helen was a member of St. Bernadette Parish and enjoyed bowling and crossword puzzles.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 26, from 5-8 p.m., in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. Her funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 27, at 10 a.m., in St. Bernadette Church, 266 Main St., Northborough. Burial will take place at a later date in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Bernadette Church or the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Rd., Worcester, MA 01602-3213.
