Marlborough – Poodle skirts, saddle shoes and vintage denim jackets were popular attire March 21 at the Marlborough Moose Family Center 1129 as guests attended the third annual “Rock Around the Clock Sop Hop.” Presented by two fundraising groups, Team Vikki and the Hot Walkers, proceeds will go to the Just ‘Cause Breast Cancer Walk and the Marlborough-Hudson Relay for Life. Team captains Vikki Crowley and Pauline Smith are this event’s co-chairs.
DJ Gary C jogged guests’ memories with golden-oldie tunes. The evening of nostalgic fun also featured burgers and hot dogs, desserts, dancing, a 50/50 raffle and a pick-your-prize auction.
The Just ‘Cause Breast Cancer Walk, a three-day 60 miler, will be held Friday, May 29 through Sunday, May 31. Proceeds are shared between the Gillette Center for Women’s Cancers at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden in Harvard.
