Southborough – Dalayya Ika, 80, of Southborough, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, in UMass Medical Center after a brief illness.

He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Savitri (Divi) Ika; four sons, Prasad Ika of Ashland, Srinivas Ika of Hopkinton, and Ravi Ika and Krishna Ika, both of Southborough, and five grandchildren.

He was born in Pedapadu, India, son of Appalaraju and Appayamma Ika, and received a bachelor’s degree from ANR College, Gudivada. He and his wife came to live in Southborough in 1998 to be with their children and grandchildren.

Dalayya worked as an accountant for the Indian State Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Calling hours will be held Friday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., in Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. (Route 30), Southborough. Cremation will follow at 1 p.m. in Rural Cemetery, 180 Grove St., Worcester.
