Hudson – William H. Patterson Jr., 64, of Hudson, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Marlborough Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathryn J. (Becker) Patterson of Hudson.
William was born in Patterson, N.J., son of the late William H. Patterson Sr. and Marie G. (Lane) Patterson. He was raised in West Roxbury, where he attended local schools and was a graduate of Charlestown High School.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was currently employed by the Eversource Company (former NSTAR), and had spent the past 46-plus years with the company. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Hudson.
William enjoyed playing guitar and also gave guitar lessons in his spare time. He looked forward to researching genealogy and reading and writing poetry. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his five loving grandchildren. He will be truly missed.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, William Patterson and his wife Liane of Saugus, Christopher Patterson and his wife Rochelle of Medford, Elizabeth McNamara and her husband Ryan of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kathryn Patterson of Hudson. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Patterson of Needham; his five grandchildren, Lauren Patterson, Will Patterson, Jonathan Patterson, Morgan Patterson, and Mckenzie Patterson; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service and celebration of William’s life will be held Tuesday, May 5, at 11 a.m., in the Grace Baptist Church, 353 River Rd., Hudson. Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Monday, May 4, from 5-8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
