Northborough – The Shrewsbury High School Colonials baseball team defeated the Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks by a score of 4-0 in a game played May 4 at the New England Baseball Complex in Northborough.

Shrewsbury’s Matthew Bonello hit a two-run home run and Ryan Pumphret hit a solo home run to lead the Colonials to victory. Shrewsbury pitcher Charles Batchelder pitched a complete game and limited Algonquin to just three hits.

Shrewsbury’s season record improves to 6-4, while Algonquin falls to 9-4.
