Grafton – Evelyn D. (Moison) Perron, 85, of Grafton, passed away peacefully Monday, May 18, 2015 in the Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Worcester after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was the loving wife of Eugene “Doc” Perron who passed away in 2008.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and leaves two children, Dennis Perron and his wife Debbie (Kearnan) of Grafton and Paula Perron of Grafton, and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Perron of Pascoag, R.I. and Christopher Perron of Grafton. She also leaves four great-grandchildren, Kaleb Perron, son of Elizabeth and Jacob, and Avriana and Mason Perron, children of Christopher.
She was born May 22, 1929 in South Grafton, daughter of the late Evelyn (Millette) and Arthur Moison, and she resided in Grafton all of her life. She was a 1947 graduate of Grafton High School and a lifelong member of St. James Church in South Grafton.
Evelyn enjoyed playing bingo, reading, knitting and crocheting; was an avid bowler; and loved playing golf. She will be greatly missed by her family and many dear friends.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation in the Alzheimer’s Unit, particularly Joan, who cared for Evelyn with compassion and kindness.
At Evelyn’s request, there will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 30, at 10 a.m., at St. James Church, 89 Main St., South Grafton. All attending the funeral Mass are politely requested to go directly to the church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Grafton.
