Northborough – The Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks boys’ lacrosse team defeated the Westborough High School Rangers by a score of 16-11 in a game played May 27 at Algonquin’s Dick Walsh field.
Algonquin’s Zach Skowronek was the driving force behind the Tomahawks, scoring eight of their sixteen goals and assisting on two others. Matt Larsen and Paul Luongo each added three goals to the total, while Alex Sabel scored two. Trevor McNamara was Westborough’s leading scorer with four goals. Jake Foster and Charlie Katz score three goals each and Jack Pierce scored one.
Algonquin’s season record improves to 13-5 (9-1 in Mid-Wach A) while Westborough falls to 11-5 (6-4 in Mid-Wach A).
