Grafton – The Grafton Police Alliance is currently running a calendar raffle to benefit Sgt. Mike Mazzola, a twenty-year veteran of the Grafton Police Department who is battling cancer. As a result of his illness, Mazzola has been unable to work while he is undergoing treatment and will continue to be out of work during his recovery.
For most days in July, a $50 cash prize will be awarded with the exceptions of Wednesdays, when cash prizes of $100, $125 or $150 will be awarded. On Saturday, July 4, $250 will be awarded. The other exceptions are: Monday, July 6, tickets to a Patriots versus Jaguars game with a tail gate party sponsored by All Pro; Friday, July 17, golf for a foursome at Shining Rock Country Club in Northbridge; and Tuesday, July 21, full auto detailing by Imperial Dodge Chrysler. On the final day of the raffle, Friday, July 31, the grand prize will be a Webber Genesis Grill from Koopmans.
Calendars are $20.00 each and may be purchased from any Grafton Police Officer or by stopping in to the Grafton Police Department, 28 Providence Rd., up until Tuesday, June 30. Minimum of 250 calendars must be sold in order to hold the raffle. In the event the alliance does not meet the minimum requirement of 250 calendars, all funds collected will be returned to individual donors. Drawings will be held daily and winners will be notified via email or contact number.
