Algonquin Softball Falls to Wachusett in Playoffs

Shrewsbury – The number 4 seed Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks softball team was defeated by the number 1 seed Wachusett Regional High School Mountaineers by a score of 5-0 in a MIAA Central Division 1 semi-final playoff game. The game was played on June 10 at Shrewsbury High School.

Algonquin managed only four hits against a tough Wachusett team. Allie Courtwright struck out 5 for Algonquin.

Algonquin concludes their season with an overall 16-6 record. Wachusett Regional will take on St. Peter Marian in the division finals on June 13. Both teams have a perfect 22-0 record on the season.
