Hudson – Patricia A. (Palmer) Leavis, 76, of Hudson, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 after a period of declining health. She leaves behind her loving husband of 53 years, John P. Leavis.

Patricia was born in Waltham, daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Nagle) Palmer. She was raised in Watertown and moved to Hudson in 1963.

Patty loved spending time at the ocean, especially Hampton Beach and York Beach, Maine. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved knitting and crocheting items for her beloved grandchildren. She was an avid Red Sox fan and loved keeping up with family and friends on Facebook.

In addition to her husband, Patricia leaves behind her two daughters, Dawn M. Bacon and her husband Bob of Southborough and Kimberly A. Tomaras and her partner Rob Kenney of Hampton, N.H. She is also survived by her sister, Robin Joyce and her husband Larry of Hudson; her seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Courtney, and Baylie Bacon, Danielle and Marissa Tomaras, Andrew Siniawski, and Olivia Leavis; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, A. Warren Palmer, and her son, Brian J. Leavis, who died in January 2014.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 15, at 11 a.m., in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Calling hours will be held Sunday, June 14, from 4-7 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patricia may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
