Obit Scott JacobsonHudson – Scott T. Jacobson, of Hudson, died Friday, June 12, 2015 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Erin (Moonan) Jacobson of Hudson.

Scott was born in East Orange, N.J., son of the late Charles and Annie (MacLauchlan) Jacobson. He was raised in Needham, where he attended local schools and was a graduate of Needham High School. He later attended the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He resided in Needham until moving to Hudson, where he and his wife Erin have spent the past 28 years.

Scott and Erin owned and operated the popular Jake’s Coffee Shop in Marlborough from 1984 to 2003.

Scott’s passion in life was cooking. Both he and Erin enjoyed running the coffee shop and cherished the many acquaintances they made during that time. Scott enjoyed golfing in his spare time and always looked forward to vacationing with Erin in Aruba. He will be remembered as a loving husband and brother and a caring and loyal uncle. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother, Bruce Jacobson and his wife Susan of Norfolk; his aunt, Betty Doyle of Needham; his niece, Kathryn Jacobson of Norfolk; and his two nephews, Mac and Greg Jacobson, both of Norfolk, along with many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Ross Jacobson.

Family and friends may attend calling hours Wednesday, June 17, from 4-6 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., followed by a service and celebration of Scott’s life at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Scott may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
