Thanking guests for seven years of support is state Rep. Hannah Kane (front) along with committee members (back, l o r) Heather Logrippo, Melissa Pride-Fahs, Gayle Vigeant and Whitney Andrews.

Shrewsbury – Guests mingled for a good cause at the seventh and final Celebration in the Garden held June 13 at the historic Fallon House, home of Heather Logrippo and Kevin Roberts. Returning to donate their time and talent as musical entertainment was the Shrewsbury-based band “Tension” consisting of Joe Arcabascio, Joe “Sammy” Cantin, Steve Grip, John O’Brien and Tim Proch. The evening included silent and live auctions.

The first prize auctioned by Selectman Jim Kane was appetizers with “the best front-row table in the house” at Buffalo Wild Wings to view Worcester’s 4th of July fireworks, won by Chris Fanale for $300. Next, David Lowy bid $450 and won the chance to help record the “snow day” message with Superintendent Dr. Joseph Sawyer next school year. Also, a Texas barbecue for 30 will be served by Pepper’s Fine Catering at the home of Alexi Bobolia, highest bidder at $2,000.

State Rep. Hannah Kane, R-Shrewsbury, announced that this was the last garden party, but the event committee is exploring related causes and ways to raise funds. In addition to Kane and Logrippo, committee members are Whitney Andrews, Sarah Cole Camerer, Beth Casavant, Mary Casey, Christa Duprey, Kathleen Keohane, Debra Page Mooney, Maria Munro, Kimberly Nobrega, Carrick O’Brien, Melissa Pride-Fahs, Stacy Ravindranathan and Gayle Vigeant.

Weather cooperated the final four of the event’s seven years. All proceeds go to the Shrewsbury Public Schools.
