Grafton – Families spent some of spring’s last day, June 20, attending the Grafton Recreation Department’s annual Big Truck Day. Various vehicles were stationed at the Grafton High School parking lot for the free, four-hour event.
Kids got the chance to sit behind the wheel of vehicles including a police cruiser and motorcycle, fire engine and aerial truck, ambulance, steamroller, dump truck, tractor, flatbed truck and school bus. Many family members came prepared with cameras to capture the moment.
The first 200 kids got their choice of receiving a free construction hat or firefighter helmet, which were distributed as a community service project of the Grafton chapter of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
