Obit Brian RussellHudson – Brian Russell, 52, of Hudson, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 18, 2015 at home. He is survived by his mother, Barbara (Mullahy) Russell, and his children, Santina and John Russell.

Brian was born in Boston and raised in Marlborough, son of Barbara A. (Mullahy) Russell and the late George D. Russell Jr. He attended Marlborough public schools and was a 1980 graduate of St. John’s High School. He was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.

Brian was active in both Marlborough Youth Baseball and hockey. He was an avid and successful motocross racer for many of his teenage years. He went on to automotive building and repairs. He spent the last 20 years in the construction industry where he worked for Parsons and Sorensen Paving Companies.

Brian had a great sense of humor and could make people laugh even in the most difficult situations. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his mother and children, he is survived by his brother, Robert Russell and his wife Kim of Hudson; his sister, Mary Teixeira and her husband George of Hudson; his nieces and nephews, Alyssa, and Robert Russell, and Matt, Joshua, and Chris Teixeira; his former wife, Lynda Russell; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 26, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Thursday, June 25, from 5-8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
