Marlborough – Robert F. Thivierge, 83, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015 after a brief period of failing health. He was the husband of Jeanne (Turner) Thivierge, to whom he was married for 55 years.
He was born in Marlborough, the son of the late Alphonse and Georgiana (Lenoux) Thivierge, and lived here all of his life.
Mr. Thivierge was a veteran of the United States National Guard, reaching the rank of Corporal. He worked as an insurance investigator for the Equifax Corp. for many years and also worked part-time as a public accountant, doing taxes for many Marlborough residents. After his retirement, he also worked part time for Brigham Realty.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Robert Thivierge Jr. of Marlborough; three daughters, Barbara Cunningham and her husband Len of Hudson, Diane Levell and her husband David of Hudson, and Nancy Thivierge of Hudson; one sister, Doris Rosko of Marlborough; one brother, Richard Thivierge of Florida; six grandchildren, Alexandra, Caitlin, Joseph, Sarah, Cassie and David Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, July 8, at 11 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St. Burial will be at a later date. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, July 7, from 5-8 p.m., in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home, 95 West Main St., Marlborough.
