Born in Auburn, N.Y., he is survived by his mother, Margaret (Butts) Solfiell and her partner William Thomason of Westborough, and his father, Walter Solfiell of Nashua, N.H. He was raised and educated in Westborough and was a 1989 graduate of Westborough High School. Warren also graduated from Framingham State College and earned a PhD in chemistry at LSU.
Warren was currently an assistant professor at Keene State College.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, David J. Solfiell of Westborough, Michael H. Solfiell of Worcester, and Kristian J. Solfiell of Providence, R.I.; his maternal grandmother, Gloria Butts of Auburn, N.Y.; three uncles, Warren Solfiell, Ed Butts and Chuck Butts; aunts; and many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, July 8, from 5-8 p.m., at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St. Burial will be private.
