Obit M. Eunice HobanBerlin – M. Eunice (Spinney) Hoban, 78, of Berlin, died Friday, July 10, 2015 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation of Westborough. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Philip Hoban of Berlin.

Eunice was born in Acton, daughter of the late Seward S. Spinney Sr. and Mary (Laurence) Spinney. At the age of 12, she moved to Hudson where she attended local schools and was a 1954 graduate of Hudson High School. She spent 38-plus years as a bookkeeper for the F.W. Woolworth Co. in Framingham until her retirement. She had resided in Berlin since 1960.

Eunice enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to touring the states with her husband Philip. She enjoyed caring for her family and cherished the times she shared with her grandchildren and later her great grandchildren. She was full of life and always brought great joy to those around her. She will truly be missed.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Mark S. Andre and his wife Patricia of Clinton; two sisters, Rose Sawyer and her husband Lawrence “Skip”of Berlin and Rita Morris and her husband John of Canada; her brother, Seward S. “Skip” Spinney Jr. and his wife Marie of Berlin; and her sister-in-law, June B. Perillo of Hudson. She is also survived by her four loving grandchildren, Nicole Andre, Timothy James Andre, Steven Michael Andre, Jennifer Lynn Andre; her seven adoring great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was looking forward to the birth of her 8th great-grandchild.

A funeral service and celebration of Eunice’s life was held July 15 in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson, followed by burial in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson.
