Marlborough – Margaret A. (Callahan) Lawton, 98, of Marlborough, died Wednesday night, July 8, 2015 after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late T. Edward Lawton.

Born in Revere, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret (Lyons) Callahan.

Margaret was a home maker and was a talented seamstress, an avid reader, and enjoyed writing poetry.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Battles of Southborough, Diane Carroll and her husband James of Hanover, Kathleen Haviland of Nokomis, Fla., Thomas Lawton and his wife Paula of Goshen, N.H., Margaret Fergusson and husband George of Whitefield, Maine; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial was held July 13 at St. Anne Church of Southborough, with burial in the Southborough Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Anne Haitian Apostolate, 20 Boston Rd., Southborough, MA 01772.
