Marlborough – Marlborough resident Ryan J. Moore was recently selected to become a member of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). The organization recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community involvement.

Moore, a junior at Marlborough High School, has been a top scholar since grade school and began working toward his pilot license at age 12. He regularly volunteers with the Special Olympics and other organizations that help those with special needs.

“On behalf of the NSHSS, I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice and commitment that Ryan has demonstrated to achieve this exceptional level of academic excellence,” said NSHSS founder and chair Claes Nobel. “Ryan is now a member of a unique community of scholars – a community the represents our very best hope for the future.”

NSHSS members become lifetime members. From high school to college to career, NSHSS connects scholars with the resources they need to develop their strengths and pursue their passions.
