Grafton – Judith E. (Mikolsky) Fossbender, of Grafton, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the age of 69.
Judi was born Dec. 23, 1945 to parents Bill and Betty Mikolsky of Waterbury, Conn. She grew up as the eldest of three and attended high school in Waterbury, and later St. Francis School of Nursing in Harford, Conn. Thereafter, she dedicated her life to nursing people back to health, serving as an Emergency and Operating Room nurse for over 35 years in Maryland, California, New Mexico, and Connecticut. Upon retiring, she was active at the Grafton Senior Center, volunteering in the kitchen.
Judi is survived by her son, Corey Fossbender, daughter-in-law, Mary, and grandson, Cody; her son, Justin Fossbender, and grandchildren from Justin, MacKenzie and Cooper Fossbender; sister Janice McKibbon (and brother-in-law Ken); brother Bill Mikolsky Jr. (and sister-in-law Gail); nephew Hank McKibbon; nieces Katie Keen, Skye Cristoforo, Whitney Mikolsoky; and three grandnephews and four grandnieces.
Calling hours for Judi will be held Saturday, July 25, from 3-6 p.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton. A brief remembrance ceremony will be held at 4 p.m.
