Ben grew up in Westborough, attended school there until high school, graduated from Bancroft School in Worcester and then Skidmore College as a business major. Ben was a very good student, a natural athlete and had many varied interests.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Taber; his sisters, Sarah Taber and Emily Alger, her husband Chris and their daughter Adelyn; his cousin, Susanna Waters, her husband Willie and their daughter Ainsley; his uncle, Jim Whitaker and his wife Kathy; his aunt, Sarah Morse and her husband Peter; his uncle, Martin Calfee and his wife Monnie; and his step-grandmother, Jean Taber, in addition to eight other cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Benjamin C. Taber; his aunt, Sally Whitaker; his uncle, John Rahilly; and his grandparents, Frances and Robert Whitaker and Benjamin Taber.

Ben had many gifts and talents, and was a big-hearted and very sweet person who loved Karen and his family very much. We will remember him as being very courageous and loving and will miss him greatly.
