Shrewsbury: Self-publishing workshop at Shrewsbury Library

Shrewsbury – An Introduction to Self-Publishing workshop with Diane Mulligan will take place Saturday, Aug. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Shrewsbury Public Library, 214 Lake St. The drop-in event is free.

Are you thinking of self-publishing your novel, memoir, or story collection, but don’t know where to start? The workshop will provide an overview of the process from manuscript preparation to marketing. Topics will include eBook distribution, print on demand options, hiring editors and/or artists vs. doing it all yourself, and creating a marketing platform, among others.

Diane Vanaskie Mulligan is the author of Watch Me Disappear, a 2013 finalist in the Kindle Book Review’s Best Indie Book Awards in the Young Adult category, and The Latecomers Fan Club, a 2014 IndieReader Discovery Award winner. She’s the managing editor of The Worcester Review and the director of The Betty Curtis Worcester County Young Writers’ Conference at St. John’s High School, where she teaches English.
