Northborough – It’s hard to believe but in less than two months, summer will be winding down. It’s never the end of summer though until Northborough hosts its annual Applefest weekend, which is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 18 through Sept. 20.

Be sure to kick off the festivities with neighbors and friends and attend a new event–a Gala organized by Northboro Local First (NLF) and Northborough Education Foundation (NEF). The Gala will include a night of cocktails and dancing under the stars to be held at Juniper Hills Golf Course Pavilion Friday, Sept. 18, from 7:30 – 11:30 p.m.

Hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available to guests. Live music will be provided by Jack’s Garage Band led by Jack Shanahan of Jack’s Guitar Garage in Northborough.

Now through Saturday, Aug. 15 tickets can be purchased at the cost of $75/couple or $40/individual. After that date, the price increases to $50/person. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ApplefestGala.eventbrite.com or in person with cash or check made payable to NEF at Beezer’s (277 Main St., Northborough) or LalaJava (290 W. Main St., Northborough). Cocktail attire is requested and a silent auction will be held. All proceeds from the event will benefit NEF.
