Obit Dorothy FalconiMarlborough – Dorothy (Morris) Falconi, 88, a longtime Marlborough resident, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015 at her residence.

Born May 2, 1927 in Bristol, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Botelho) Morris and the wife of Alfred S. Falconi, to whom she has been married to for 68 years. They would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary Aug. 18.

Dorothy worked for the former Diamond Shoe Company in Marlborough until 1960 when she opened her beauty salon at her home. She retired at the age of 80.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Brenda Hendrickson and her husband Richard of Marlborough; her grandchildren, Brian Smith of Marlborough, Mark Smith of Shrewsbury, and Derek Hendrickson of Marlborough, as well as their wives; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Alice Kasaras of Marlborough, and Evelyn Entwhistle of Monaco, Penn. She was predeceased by her brother, Eddie Morris.

Her funeral service was held Aug. 10 at the Slattery Funeral Home of Marlborough, with burial at the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
