Southborough – Elma (MacMurray) Stipe Kunz, 94 of Southborough, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, surrounded by family and friends. She was the wife of the late Hans Kunz and J. Gordon Stipe.

Elma was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Mt. Holyoke College, majoring in French. She taught English as a second language. Among the several companies she taught for was World Language Center in Marlborough.

Elma was a proud active member of the Girls Scouts for 86 years. She was also an active member of Pilgrim Church in Southborough.

She is survived by her children, Peter Stipe and his wife Debra of Williamsburg, Va. and Grace-Anne Benoudiba of France; her grandchildren, David Stipe and his wife Teri of Charlottesville, Va., Carey Stipe of Silver Springs, Md., Daniel Benoudiba and his wife Anne of Holliston, and Tina El Mohandes and her husband Wael of France; and six great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service was held Aug. 10 at Pilgrim Church of Southborough, followed by burial in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
